camping
In 2010 we welcomed tents, motorhomes and caravans for the first time. With a maximum of 5 on site it ensured that we never felt overcrowded and yet people were close enough to make friends, allow children to roam yet keep them in sight and still maintain their own privacy.
The camp field is a 1 acre space and this autumn we will be planting more trees to provide a bit more shelter and privacy. Each pitch has a picnic table, a BBQ and a fire pit for campfires. There is a shower/toilet block a few metres from the field, with a family shower room with toilet and a further individual toilet and shower as well. There is also a fridge and freezer available and a huge log pile for chilled out campfires – wood is available at £4 for a big trug.
Fancy a change or looking to book with other family or friends? The campfield is adjacent to the yurt field and quite a few people book pitches to accompany yurts ensuring they can be close to their friends and family “glamping” it! We even had people upgrading to the yurts when the weather wasn’t so kind! If this interests you, have a look at the yurt page here.

Please note, that due to planning restrictions that protect this beautiful place, we became a camping and caravanning certified site in 2010, which means we are small, exclusive to members and meet their high standards. Find out more about the camping and caravanning club here.
